The Bridle Path

Often referred to as “Millionaires Row” is the most affluent and prestigious neighbourhood in all of Canada filled with multi million-dollar mansions.

The Bridle Path is one of Canada’s most prestigious residential neighbourhoods, boasting expansive multi-million dollar mansions on lot sizes of two acres and more. It is in fact, the most affluent community in Canada, as measured both by property values and average household income. While “The Bridle Path” is the name of a single road within the community, it refers to the neighbourhood as a whole.

The Bridle Path is a secluded neighborhood surrounded by verdant parklands and breathtaking views of West Humber Valley and Don River Valley. Very few roads pass through the area, which further adds to its exclusivity.

History

The Bridle Path was initially developed in 1827, and was mostly used as farmland up to the early 1900s. The construction of Bayview Bridge in 1929 made the area more accessible from Toronto, helping it transition into the luxurious community it is known as today.

The neighbourhood of Bridle Path takes its name from the winding network of equestrian bridle paths used by its early estate owners, who were mostly horse-owners. While most of those original paths are now paved over, the area’s current layout still retains wide, tree-lined avenues marked by lush greenery, providing a window to its past.

Bridle Path, Toronto real estate options and property types

The ultra-luxurious setting is just one of the many benefits residents enjoy in Bridle Path however, as the neighborhood also offers unparalleled seclusion and privacy, along with convenient access to downtown Toronto.
